2023 Sustainability Report
Being a sustainable business and contributing to the sustainability of our planet is of utmost importance, and we are proud of the progress we have achieved. We deliver solutions that solve our world’s complex environmental challenges, integrating sustainable practices into our daily operations while providing clients with cutting-edge solutions to maximize their impacts. In 2023, we delivered solutions to our clients spanning climate change, air quality, water quality, contaminated soil management, infrastructure, and emergency environmental response.
Additionally, in 2023, we looked inward to advance our efforts to uphold sustainability and manage our business responsibly. We established 2022 as the base year for measuring our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We have submitted our near-term and net zero targets for validation through the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In 2022, we conducted our first formal materiality assessment to better understand the expectations of our internal and external stakeholders, our impacts, our risks, and our business opportunities, so that we can direct our efforts and our resources towards the issues most material to Montrose. While all of the sustainability topics identified in our initial research are important, certain issues warrant more proactive focus in order to ensure that we are meeting the expectations of our stakeholders and enhancing the resiliency of our business.
